Caller ID in Call-Centre Environment

Hi guys, Quick one : How feasible is it to implement a centrally managed caller-ID feature in an environment where incoming calls in a '*call-centre-like*' environment can be attended to by any of the members in a team. The outfit has one single contact number and each operative has their own desktop phone to attend to incoming calls. Can the list of regular callers be centrally managed, to eliminate the need to load the same in each and every operative's desk-phone? Sounds like something that should already exist to me. Any pointers? Tony.

That sounds like it should be a feature of that system you are using! On 27 May 2018 at 18:25, Tony Likhanga via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

You should be looking at processing the CID on the incoming trunk so that by the time it gets to the extension you have identified the ID. Alex /dev/mobile On Sun, May 27, 2018, 6:28 PM Tony Likhanga via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

@Brian, I didn't check. This was just a random question thrown at me by a buddy who presumed I'd know. *2018-05-28 8:54 GMT+03:00 Brian L via skunkworks <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke>>:*

Also, ask the pal to contact their voice provider to find out if they support the same. Their PBX may support the feature but not the provider. Regards On Mon, May 28, 2018, 15:20 Christopher Gitonga via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:
