I was hoping to get some insight from the digeratti as I haven't seen any objective analysis on the use of Internet Media/Social Media to campaign to swing voters yet there are over 17 million Internet users in Kenya. Also both campaign teams seem to have made limited use of old media i,e. TV, Radio and Print compared to 2007 so where are the billions of campaign shillings going? I would say it does matter to some extent, particularly where one team has come out to project that they are digital and move to show to some extent that they are. That said, the campaign from Jubilee scores quite some points for the adaptive site design and also included the Android app to complement it. They also score in social media communication IMO. I think this should come after the elections. In my opinion, all teams have come out strongly both in the digital and mainstream media.
