Greetings geniuses, As far as TVs and home theaters go, what are you preferred brands and why? Sony, Samsung, LG, Toshiba, etc...? Please mention particular models as well. -- ./mosys

These are about personal preferences. I prefer LG's for no apparent reason. ./Ok3ch On Thu, May 16, 2013 at 2:27 PM, Moses M.G <mouzmuyer@gmail.com> wrote:

If I were to upgrade; I'd go with LG. (I'm on a Sony Bravia LCD gadget) Reasons: - I'd be interested in going 3D + LED. - At the moment; it's the Koreans (LG & Samsung) who have better pricing - I prefer passive 3D technology (what LG uses) over active 3D technology (What Samsung uses) - Generally, the Koreans are pumping loads of R&D efforts into futuristic technologies; hence my inclination towards them

If you go LG, buy 2013 models. The rate at which they are growing their techno is amazing. And get the magic remote if u can On Thu, May 16, 2013 at 3:04 PM, Tony Likhanga <tlikhanga@gmail.com> wrote:

Get a Plasma ( Samsung looked fine) or wait for OLED TVs.

Plasmas are good for watching movies but leave screen burns when playing console games..for me personally i hate seeing that when playing my games :-).If you have to go with plasma go with Panasonic..they have invested alot in that technology. If you want gaming i would advice LCD/LED TVs..and while at it,if you can top up the money..get a 3D TV..their prices are low this days, check Amazon. This is coming from a person who has owned both a plasma and an LED TV.
