Hi, Would anyone know if the following is possible; I have one SNMP Reciever = "Server" group A = set of servers (linux) - comm string public YYY group B = second set of servers. (linux) - comm string private XXX Is it possible that the "Server" contain both public and private comm strings under conf file, such that it receives traps from both sets of servers. *FILTER* 1. Yes , public is unsafe, No not using snmp v3 , Yes preference is config file to be changed on the Server to accommodate the group B (private XXX) set of servers but without affecting the group A (public) set of servers - Assume latter already configured. Thanks. :-) regds

Not sure whether it is possible or not but if I were you i'd set up this in the configs and do an snmpwalk on both the public and private "servers" -- ˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙ Regards, David Njuki @njukey [Google,Twitter,Yahoo]
