I tried to complete it for the sake of research and it would not submit. If we want to gauge the real Internet user situation in Kenya I am not sure that doing it online is the most reliable format as it leaves the heart of the question out of the equation: Who needs access and doesn't have it? I would agree that I am not sure that the survey tool utilized was as well organized as it could have been. I also wonder who was sent a link to the survey and who was left out. what was the methodology utilized for sampling? It seems to be the results will be skewed. This is a clear example of a digital study executed badly. I tried to complete it for the sake of research and it would not submit. If we want to gauge the real Internet user situation in Kenya I am not sure that doing it online is the most reliable format as it leaves the heart of the question out of the equation: Who needs access and doesn't have it? I would agree that I am not sure that the survey tool utilized was as well organized as it could have been. I also wonder who was sent a link to the survey and who was left out. what was the methodology utilized for sampling? It seems to be the results will be skewed.

OK, after the bashing (which i totally loved), here is your olive branch. The idea is good, but the implementation is horrible ..... Here are some suggestions: 1: Use AJAX to submit info at each stage and update the database, that way you dont either get it all or lose it all. 2: Then put the absolutely most important questions first, that way most of us that would have quit answering would have given you "some" data. 3: Make it more intuitive. for instance, a) instead of year of birth where someone enters a figure, get the javascript calendars that you select the year , month and date. b) instead of location (country, city and town), you could get more accurate information by using access logs. (yeah i know, but people also lie about where they are). c) Reduce the number of pages one has to click on before completine. (im not sure how many they are but they are too many. d) Have a graphical indicator of progress, or even a simple... you are on page this of this. 4: More contributions from skunkworks.....By the way, do we get to see the results so far when youve completed? I would agree that I am not sure that the survey tool utilized was as well organized as it could have been. I also wonder who was sent a link to the survey and who was left out. what was the methodology utilized for sampling? It seems to be the results will be skewed.

It was quite a poorly designed and executed survey - Poorly structured questions - Leading questions aimed at getting desired results - Poor interface design (never in my years have i ever seen a form asking one to chose a country using radio buttons!) - It somehow crashed my browser after the first page and refused me to continue Of course the question arises who implemented that query?
