Debit/credit card Pin printing
Hello Good People, I would like to know how banks print their pins for credit or debit card, the pins that come out with a paper that is sealed and blacked out from the outside to avoid viewing of the pin, I would like to know how this is done whether a special printer/software or process is used as I would like to implement them in another module (not debit or credit card, just issuing of PINS to some group of users) With Kind Regards -- Calvin Omari ITIL ® Expert, Prince 2 ®, MSP ®
Hi Calvin, They use a dot matrix printer that is connected to a special device called a HSM <https://www.thales-esecurity.com/products-and-services/products-and-services/hardware-security-modules/payment-hsms/payshield-9000>....
