Western Digital Remote | WD Live hub

Hello, Anyone who knows where i can buy the wd live hub remote locally? Some buttons has become non-responsive even after cleanup. Others like power-button and back has never worked since day 1. [image: Inline images 1] -- Kind Regards, Wilson./

Hi Wilson, Why not just use the remote on your phone/tablet? It is better in a number of respects. On Thu, Feb 27, 2014 at 11:41 AM, Thuo Wilson <lixton@gmail.com> wrote:

There http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.Xpolar+f... and fear not, Posta don't steal anymore. Then when buying send the seller a message to label the value at <$10 so you don't pay duty. On 27 February 2014 12:21, Brian Ngure <brian@pixie.co.ke> wrote:

I need the remote itself for a number of reasons. - Am not the only residence in my house and kids don't enjoy tablets/smart-phones. Actually kids enjoy it (wd) more than i do (toons/photos etc) - Wireless keyboard is good when on internet (typing) - i use often. - Smartphone needs me to be wired (presently will cost me a wireless router which is 3-5k), enough to buy a remote and a half of it. Before i asked for it, i did consider other options :( @John - i asked locally, ebay, amazon etc is the last option. Kind Regards, Wilson./

Oh sorry, missed the locally bit. I also have a wdtv, I had looked for it around town (westlands, cbd etc), couldn't find it anywhere, ended up getting it on ebay. On 27 February 2014 13:47, Thuo Wilson <lixton@gmail.com> wrote:

Always feared that I would need to replace the remote for it. You might want to consider importing. Love my WDTV! But would like to upgrade. Anyone know a good alternative? Best, James. On Thu, Feb 27, 2014 at 2:10 PM, John K. <kamau.john@gmail.com> wrote:

Bought a WDTV last year but never used it... because it is very slow when parsing directories... the lags are terrible... As for WD products in Kenya, there are some available in a small shop at Soin Arcade, Westlands. Went there last year and they had plenty of WD products (sorry forgot the name of the shop) or call these guys who are distributor of WD in EA - http://www.mitsumidistribution.com/contact-us.html- then they shall direct you to the shop. The live hub i have does not have Bluetooth support. But can use wireless keyboard. Is there a small (say like 10cm or less) wireless keyboard BTW.
Kind Regards, Wilson./

Hello,
Anyone who knows where i can buy the wd live hub remote locally?
Some buttons has become non-responsive even after cleanup. Others like power-button and back has never worked since day 1.

Let's say I want to be able to see movies from FANDOR or Netflix or BBC Iplayer on my Samsung TV using WD player, I guess I need : 1/ A VPN server (possible with Windows 7-8) 2/ A router with port forward 3/ WD TV Live Hub Anyway as you can see I suck kabisa in this and would appreciate any help or contact of guy who can do this kind of stuff eyes closed and show me the basics for small fee Cheers On 10 March 2014 14:59, Memusi <tonatech@gmail.com> wrote:

You don't 'really' need a vpn service to view netflix and the rest. A smart dns service will work just fine, just google 'dns unlock' and you'll find a host of services that will give you a special DNS IP address that you can use on your WDTV and netflix will believe you are in the US, and let you watch. Also works for hulu, pandora, spotify etc On the other hand if you torrent quite a bit, a vpn service will take your torrents to a new level. SmartDNS would do just fine. I think i should start one now - too many queries on this :) Otherwise VPN from a router () supporting vpn would also be great. Kind Regards, Wilson./
