As for WD products in Kenya, there are some available in a small shop at Soin Arcade, Westlands.  Went there last year and they had plenty of WD products (sorry forgot the name of the shop) or call these guys who are distributor of WD in EA - http://www.mitsumidistribution.com/contact-us.html - then they shall direct you to the shop.

I need the remote itself for a number of reasons.

• Am not the only residence in my house and kids don't enjoy tablets/smart-phones. Actually kids enjoy it (wd) more than i do (toons/photos etc)

• Smartphone needs me to be wired (presently will cost me a wireless router which is 3-5k), enough to buy a remote and a half of it.
  

Before i asked for it, i did consider other options :(

@John - i asked locally, ebay, amazon etc is the last option.
