Baringo town - GPS coordinates
Any skunk who might be in Baringo town and got a GPS thingy? I really want to know the latitude and longitude of somewhere within town. Google Maps seems to only know Lake Baringo.

The coordinates on that page lead to point near "Tangulbei".
earthtools.org is giving two points, one on the C51, but this one is near the junction of C51 with the Nakuru-Sigor road. An another one near "Mukutan" inside the "Ol Ari Nyiro conservancy" My dilemma is I've never been anywhere near baringo so I can't even tell its general vicinity, in other words, which of the above coordinates is the correct one? Or should I head to the library and get me a good old atlas? Much thanks people!
Many Phones nowadays have Asssisted GPS which gives you the point to an error of a few meters... I have found that one can actually navigate in Nairobi streets using a phone. The phone's Assisted GPS actually shows which side of the road one is on.. For example.. On the iphone we have an application called "GPS Motion Lite" - search for Baringo *or* minimize map and zoom on Baringo ,, once its brought up on map, simply tap twice and the coordinates of any point you move your cursor will be displayed on a small speech box.. This i believe can cut down on your research time and you can get coordinates at any time you wish, even as you navigate there ot real time.
