90000ms in a ping thats how slow their 3g internet is. Its so frustrating

And I believe you have alternatives. Vote with your wallet. There no use talking about bad or horrible service and still sticking with the provider. Unless the provider is Kenya Power and you have no alternative. Nevertheless, it is not normal to get pings of 90000ms even using the slowest of links. Did you really wait for 90 seconds for pings to be replied? Because the TTL is usually shorter.

Really bad connection at my office......... everyday. at home its better. @phillip i have altternatives just mentioning that the service is very horrible. I believe service providers should honoor their delivery of service to its customers...... all customers not some On Thu, Feb 14, 2013 at 8:53 AM, Philip Musyoki <pmusyoki@gmail.com> wrote:

Are you on 'unlimited'? Could it be you've exceeded the quota so you're thrown into slow speeds? I'm also on Orange 3g, no complaints. On 14 February 2013 10:44, Tusker 21 <tusker212@gmail.com> wrote:

I suggest you vote with your wallet, to a provider that values service more than fair usage policies. On 14 February 2013 11:33, mwei gideon <mweigideon@gmail.com> wrote:

For some reason they will NEVER make the exact FUP details public [?][?] You are left to figure this out for yourself through monitoring. You also need too understand that the Cost & FUP structure is specific to the data plans (Mobile/USB Modem).
From my experience : The 50/= daily 'unlimited' mobile plan is meant to have the cap at 100MB before throttling kicks in. The 2990/= monthly 'unlimited' USB Modem plan is meant to have its cap at 3GB before throttling is activated.
*<Whisper>* *- What happens when you subscribe to a data plan from your handset then pop the same SIM card into a USB modem?* *- What happens when the provider's throttling mechanism frequently fails to kick in?* *</Whisper>*
