Is your simcard active? Ideally when u plug in the modem,it should first register to the network and from there it should allow you to connect. You might also want to check the settings that you have incase you tampered with them On Sat, Aug 1, 2009 at 11:54, amanya <whynnot@gmail.com> wrote:

You getting any meesage "cant write to phonebook ..." or you simply cant connect. It could be your AV. If so disable and reenable after connection On Sat, Aug 1, 2009 at 12:02 PM, Daniel Ndeti <dantoz@gmail.com> wrote:

Question : Is this 3G country wide ? The last time I checked - it was only for Nairobi area.

It is not countrywide. Not even the whole of Nairobi nor MSA. Areas like Ngong, Some parts of Thika Road, Ruai in Nairobi and Mtwapa and Chanzu in MSA are hardly covered On Mon, Aug 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM, ndungu stephen <ndungustephen@gmail.com>wrote:

And yet our folks are buying them in Central and Rift Valley areas and they are calling us to tell us that "now we have 3G at home" I really think someone should tell them [ that they are still on gud ol' GSM [?] - that's why they are not sharing in our stories of 2MB downloads ] I wud advise anyone outside Nairobi to go for Orange option -- its like a high speed highway with not so many cars - quite fast considering the logic of number of GSM users. But then again, there is that Mercedez pple are winning on the safcom option....
