(Airtel has removed it) How would you feel if you had no choices? (I will nothing because there are no choices) Underlying fact: People use Hide Caller ID because it is there, if it were not there, no one will call X with Unknown worst to say Flash with Unknown
There is a cost a carrier pay for allowing hiding caller ID. They swallow the cost it take to track down the caller when law enforcement come looking for it. Airtel may have just looked at how much that adds up monthly against the number of people hiding their ID and concluded its financially more prudent to lockout anybody hiding ID. A completely business decision. I doubt its anyway other than profit optimization
