I don't understand this mobile vs modem issue with Orange. How do they differentiate a mobile from a modem? Why is it even important? I know I can use the same SIM card on a mobile or modem. So when Orange asks me whether I want to activate on a mobile or modem, I just can't figure out the need for such a question. Naomba serikali hii yetu tukufu ya nyegere inielimishe, plis. Maybe Airtel Throttle regardless of location? Could be due to their focus on mobile as opposed to modems as Orange seems to favour.

None that I know of. My place in Pangani has adequate cover for all operators. Orange still fairs better. Ditto Mombasa & Kilifi. All I recall is that at launch, Airtel 3G connection in Mombasa was way better than the same in Nairobi.
