Queen Bee even went ahead to call it 'Unlimited Internet'! If one pays for 'Unlimited Internet' ,should they expect to get 16KBps? Moreover, Safaricom kept people guessing for close to two weeks on what was going on since the speeds were rubbish(forgive my French). Nobody said users could not or did not want to pay Ksh.23,000 to get a proper connection but would you seek to pay Safaricom that amount if they were offering the same services for Ksh.3,000 per month? I think we are expecting too much and paying too little for it. Look at the Internet charges and associated speed on most developed countries. Unless you are willing to pay more for unlimited Internet its not possible for ISPs and Telcos to offer it. Looking at the cost of setting up 3G/4G networks and the limited radio resource its just hard to sustain the kind of data rates at the current prices.
