I don't know why some guys here are complaining about the IDEOS. Mine has never had any problem. As for battery life, switch off your WIFI when not necessary and install Battery doctor app to manage your battery. This phone is just great! At just Kshs 8500 = GREAT PHONE+ 1000 AIRTIME + 600MB DATA. Which Nokia/Samsung acts like a wireless router, has WIFI, has GPS, acts like a 3G modem, Bluetooth, fully touch screen and has thousands apps to choose from for Kshs 6500 (8500 minus 1k airtime and 1k data)? This phone is now a threat to the likes of Samsung Galaxy whose price is over 5 times. I can't wait for Huawei IDEOS Reloaded. [?] Maybe its gonna be the next big thing in phones. Have a great day! Have bought two of these IDEOS phones so far - my boss brought his straight to South Africa - now everyone wants one from Kenya. He has never had any issues and swears by the phone. Yesterday he was telling me I should throw away my "junk" Nokia E5 because the IDEOS is so much easier to use (very true).
I used the 2nd IDEOS in Kenya, Gabon, and South Africa - amazing experience. I had to give it away when I got to SA - but have sworn to myself that I must buy another one (this last one was glaring pink - but I loved the features).
Long story short - any model of phone will have (some) faulty units which need warranty replacement - especially if they are moving in the quantities that the IDEOS is moving!
for $100 this is probably the next best thing after sliced bread!!!!

I have an an android phone(ideos) with wifi gps 3g 32g sd support at 8500 whats there to complain about battery you might say but most phone running android have this problem.
Summary. android is increasing its market share. huawei is increasing sales and getting more recognition. safaricom get more data sales however not entirely true because the phone is not locked to safcom. I have a smart phone(with ANDROID). I win.
