The good thing is that you can still be able to use Office 365 even when offline because it maintains an offline copy of your documents.
Payments will be monthly but they can compute one time annual payments or even 3 years payments. Where you just pay and use.
Once the period expires you will be given a small grace period after which your office will lock until you renew your subs. The good thing is that you can install many instances of office 365 with a single licence like on laptop, desktop, tablet, phone etc. I think the limit is 10 instances for a single user. I don't think there's anywhere to hide any more.
As earlier said the MS staff in Kenya are very cooperative. You may invite them for discussions and further clarifications.

about 365 somebody told me you have to pay every year or depending on the period you have agreed with the supplier which i find it expensive after some time, otherwise you can have a free version of 365 but it doesn't come with excel n office option, Is this true? I understand that with 365 they have to point their mx records to my c panel whereby google have also pointed theirs to my c panel, Is it true that you can point the two mx records(office 365 n Google) to a c panel at the same time? Is there office 365 offline or limited to a LAN? My users mostly user the office packages.
