Thanks, Tony. If Mark doesn't have an internet connection, is there a way to download or "slipstream<http://lifehacker.com/386526/slipstream-service-pack-3-into-your-windows-xp-installation-cd>" the codecs (like an XP Service Pack) ? http://lifehacker.com/386526/slipstream-service-pack-3-into-your-windows-xp-... Guys, the issue is this - a professional linux distribution cd cannot contain certain codecs, such as for mp3 as they are proprietary, and for ubuntu / redhat / novell to include them would open them to legal action - so as Erick says, just download after doing the basic install.
Distros which include the codecs are taking a risk - but if it's pure 'community' with no identifying organisation to sue in court - or no money to be had if they did - then these small distros can get away with it.
