Well, thats what almost everyone @ that event thought, the dude who was there from KICTB said the same thing over and over again; all other government IT agencies are under KICTB as far as actual work is involved, including e-government secretariat.
Unless I heard my own things. I remember thinking that, if ever I have any IT related idea I was to sell to the government, KICTB will be where I go coz the buck stops there.
Wesley, Murigi, Rad! care to confirm.
We are in need of more education on these matters and therefore plan more meets. http://www.e-government.go.ke/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1... http://www.e-government.go.ke/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1... It seems that the KICTB is part of the E-Gov secretariat (through the MoIC) and implements E-Gov (KTCIP) projects in conjunction with others. It is certainly in charge of procuring / sourcing from the ICT industry. http://www.ict.go.ke/images/pdfs/6593719R_2.pdf The KICTB is a Parastatal that pushes more than E-Gov. It is also building capacity in the Kenyan ICT industry even as it sells Kenya as a BPO destination.
