From my point of view, software (and hardware) prices are slowly going down but at the same time the number users are going up. Most android apps are $1 to around $10 at most but sell in the thousands. Windows itself costs around $100 ? (If I'm not wrong).
This however doesn't threaten local developers if their code is good. They just need to also sell internationally and compete on a global scale in terms of price and quality.
