From the safaricom website.
You will lose the ability to use M-PESA if you port to another network. Any
unutilized M-PESA balance at the time of porting will not be accessible to you once you move to another operator. The balance will be transferred to a holding account and can be refunded on request.
I guess if you port and someone sends you cash, the rules for sending to another network apply. Regards, Alex On Thu, Oct 6, 2011 at 8:49 PM, Job Muriuki <muriukin@gmail.com> wrote:
I have been wondering safcom deactivates someone's mpesa account after porting or cash stills goes into the mpesa account. I want to port to a rival network and don't want cash to get tied incase its sent to my ported number.
