I really suspect the kernel and the wifi modules installed. In the worst case, why not find the exact specs of your hardware, roll up your sleeves and recompile the whole thing from the sources? It is easier done than said ........

There have been some wifi issues with the newer Linux kernel (2.6.3* range). I don't what is the issue exactly but when it occurred to me, it was due to weak signal strengths from the hot-spots. I later associated to a spot with stronger signals and it worked.
The other thing is that you can try installing wicd to manage all your network interfaces. I think it does a fantastic job at that. Also you can re-configure your networks afresh and use the dynamic host control protocol (DHCP) instead of assigning static I.Ps to your box.

Am on linux. Kernel 2.6.32. NEtwork manager identifies the network as WPA/WPA2 and requests for a password which I key in correctly but fails to authenticate. Other machines are able to authenticate succesfully on this same network without any hitch. I also installed the latest ipw2100 drivers and firmware lakini wapi.

After getting stuck in the notorious westlands late afternoon traffic, I was faced with the annoying denial of the Samsung shop attendant that the Galaxy Note 10.1 does not exist! They tried to sell me a galaxy tab 10 instead. I asked whether they have the Galaxy tab 2, their answer was that this(old tab) is the LATEST model to be released by Samsung yet. I believe Samsung needs to do better with their training programmes for their staff and partner teams. Or maybe to them a one year old product is NEW!
@Jose, which Galaxy note 10 did you sample?
