*Employment Type:* Full-Time *Summary:* A leading freight company in Kenya is looking for a *bright* system support and developer who can independently, and without supervision, convert ideas and requirements into solutions. You must have good communication and interpersonal skills. *Description:* The job will include: - Reporting to the IT Manager - Providing IT Support for the company staff. - Design state-of-the-art software solutions based on requirements from customers, functional consultants and management. - Programming and testing of software solutions on various database and programming platforms. - Assist in preparing project plans and schedules for each job and assignment. - Ensure that all solutions provided while developing a solution are properly documented. - Assist in informing management about latest developments within ICT and advise on potential business development related to new and existing products as well as implementing those ideas. *Requirements:* - At least Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent - Extra Certification will be an advantage - Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - At least 2 years experience as programmer/system developer/Support in a relatively busy environment - Good knowledge of systems support and development on at least one web language and another desktop language. - Experience with Delphi/VB and PHP application development - Must be able to quickly adapt to any programming language. - Good solid knowledge of main components of systems in an office e.g. Servers, Desktops, PABX and Local Area Networks - Knowledge in support of ERP solutions will be an added advantage. - Contractual obligations with current employer to be respected as we will expect the same from you.
