sounds like a hardware issue maybe on the motherboard but i would also try the live cd as Koskey has suggested. On May 20, 2013 5:10 PM, "Freddie Koskey" <kyfredy@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello Listers,
My colleague has a Dell Inspiron with an usual behavior. The Mouse and Trackpad works fine while battery.
The moment he plugs in the AC adapter, the mouse and the Trackpad fails. A reboot is normally the first troubleshooting step which doesn't solve this issue. When he unplugs the AC adapter the mouse and Trackpad works fine.
Anyone who is facing the same problem? How did you go about it?
Eric.
