Fair warning MIchael, I have owned a HTC One (M7) for about a year now and though it's an excellent phone in terms of specs + software, it's got one major problem - stuck/ dead pixels <http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-one-m7/269052-who-here-has-stuck-dead-pixels-their-new-htc-one.html>. Started about 6 to 8 months in and it's not the only reported case I know of. A friend has a HTC One (M8) with the same issue, so it seems to cut across different generations of the phone. Still not sure if it's a hardware or software problem but I've tried a couple of hacks to no avail.
