Not really Rad!, I meant to say that I think Google was itself involved not only in putting the logo on the back cover but also in "what manufacturers do with the Android prior to putting it on the device". Consider a big part of the manufacturers Google, and with the vigour with which they are pushing this device (Google IO, price subsidies, unlocked) they will most likely want to follow up with updates and goodies to keep the local Android fan from straying. I think its natural. PS -> Ok, the exclamation mark at the end of your name/pseudonym gives the impression that I was shouting, not really. Just being precise about whom am addressing :-) On 13 January 2011 06:49, Rad! <conradakunga@gmail.com> wrote:
The problem is not Google. The problem is what the manufacturers do with the Android prior to putting it on the device! Remember the Motorola Droid X that was programmed to physically damage itself if users tried to tinker with the Android

It is likely that since Google is at the forefront of pushing this device into the market, they will avail updates to Gingerbread and whatever else will tokea in the future.
