@Jangita..I beg to differ. With the new jabber/xmpp plugins you can now do video chats, voice calls and even file transfers. Check out Empathy IM for linux...it serves these purposes! Google talk uses the XMPP originally brought to us by Jabber www.jabber.com - so any XMPP client can log in to google talk server talk.google.com and chat. Not for voice calls though...
