4.2.3 Safaricom reserves the right to disclose confidential information relating to your account to any of our subsidiaries or associated companies.
8.1 All intellectual property rights to the subject matter of this Agreement shall remain vested in Safaricom and the ownership of the SIMs, the Toll Free Number and the Network shall remain with Safaricom or its licensors, as appropriate. You acknowledge that you shall have no licence, *right*, title or interest in or to any intellectual property rights of Safaricom or its licensors (as the case may be) except as expressly set out in this Agreement.
9.7 You may not assign, transfer or delegate, or purport to assign, transfer or delegate, any of your rights or obligations under this Agreement without our prior written consent, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. We may however transfer, assign or delegate any or all of our rights under this Agreement to any of our subsidiaries or associated companies....

Same way you dont own your wife by paying dowry. in the case of consummables you buy the right to consume:-), so for a cellphone I guess I pay for use of a service. as for privacy....maybe go off grid:-)
