I have also been thinking abt bgp for multiple ISP's but I dont think it is economical due the charges involved in getting an AS number. Have you ever run bgp, what are the resource requirements for a rtr?

Good info guys and I like it much. I didn't my ISP can give me a private AS no, Im using UUNet do u know if they do such ama they will drop me another high bill? Abt the rtrs how much are the 1841 and 2811 locally. I think I need atleast 4 HWIC's and 2 E1 cards and 2 Serial ports.
