First of all, going forwards, its not a good idea to have such a large pst. It is a recipe for disaster both from a corruption perspective and for a disaster recovery basis. Create several archives -- perhaps quarterly. As for your problem you need to make sure that: You have at least 12GB free -- the tool recreates the PST file so you need at least as much space free plus some extra You leave it to run in peace. I have a .pst outlook 2007 whose size 8gb and is corrupt.I have tried repairing the corrupt pst with scanpst but the program (scanpst.exe) keeps hanging after it backs up.I have googled and got programs like stellar phoenix outlook and advanced outlook repair tool, both are demo and do not guarantee recovering all the mails.Does anyone have a program that can be used to repair the corrupt file and its freeware....i would really appreciate
