Uproar as Safaricom unveils revised PostPay bundle terms

They are at it once again, now post paid accumulated SMSes and minutes will expire in 30 days. http://www.nation.co.ke/business/Uproar-as-Safaricom-unveils-revised-postpay... Regards, Joseph.

Joseph, Are they accepting new subscriptions? This new policy is even worse than the previous one for reason to follow. Users will be using their saved minutes while paying for new resources they will not be using. These new resources will be expiring after every 30 days. The 1000 or 2500 shillings paid shall give you more minutes which you will not be using in the 30 days before you deplete the accumulated ones. So daylight robbery just mutated into another form.

I always thought post pay meant you use the network then after a month or period you pay for what you've used. Unlike pre pay where you pay before using the network eg scratch card. Or am I missing something?? On 1 May 2015 14:03, "Stephen Wanjau via skunkworks" < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

Hey Andrew, ideally, that's how Post pay work of which Safcom has that provision. But the one in focus is "hybrid post pay" christened "Karibu Postpay". Regards. On Friday, May 1, 2015, Andrew Nduati via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

@Peter, the Karibu tariff is closed to any new subscribers and will not be opened. Finally, they have backed down. You can now keep your accumulated minutes but any new subscription will expire after 30 days. http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Corporate-News/Safaricom-backs-down-on-un...
