Thunderbird keeps asking for password

Hey skunks Been using tunderbird for my mails both on linux and suse, on one account thunderbirds keeps on asking for the password. It sometimes works and downloads the mails though it totally fails sometimes. I thought this was a problem with me till someone came to me for assistance on the same issue. Just wondering if you guys are encoutering this and whats the solutions? ./TheMburu -- Conservatism is the adherence to the old tried against the new untried.

I use thunderbird on Debian and Ubuntu and have no problem. Are you certain you are entering the correct password? Do you have an incorrect password stored anywhere (remembered in thunderbird)? On Fri, Oct 14, 2011 at 9:28 AM, TheMburu George <themburu@gmail.com> wrote:

Had configured the password manager to do that, apparently I even deleted the mail account but on attempt to create it the login fails. On Fri, Oct 14, 2011 at 9:32 AM, Brian Ngure <brian@pixie.co.ke> wrote:

@ Eva - what about the latest version of Thunderbird ? ----------------------------------- If a software asks for a password; dont give it - you are the master of your pc ! ~ Some guy on the internet.

Had updated to the latest, the pal of mine had to downgrade thinking this was the cause. He ended up removing authentication for mails. Still hacking mine! ./TheMburu On Fri, Oct 14, 2011 at 10:49 AM, ndungu stephen <ndungustephen@gmail.com>wrote:
