Morning Skunks, Am having a challenging situation with my Mails.i cant send/receive while on my LAN But am able to access my Mails on my mobile devices without any Qualms. When i try to Access my Webmail+Cpanel on any Machine in my LAN am unable to reach it but possible on my mobile device and outside our LAN.Thats why i don't think its an issue my Mail Host. Am beginning to its my Firewall which is blocking All the ports associated with Mail server. Anybody who has experienced the same or is there a Cyberoam Guru around? Kind Regards, -- Kind Regards, Tel: +254 727 049692 Twitter: Sadaqsteve Skype: steve.kyengo

can you ping the mail host IP from your LAN? Can you access webmail from your LAN? If so then you need to check your firewall, ensure that all smtp ports are open or forwarded where necessary. I also suggest that you talk with your ISP the problem could also be coming from there.. Your Public IP could be black listed. Another problem would be if you have changed your network class lately there are config details in your mailserver set up that you need to update. So there are many reasons why your mailserver would fail to fetch or send.. Trace your steps first then we can get you a solution as you zero in on something. Right now the reasons are endless.. I had a similar problem a little while ago and the scenario then is that we had changed our ISP. Had to request them to refresh their DNS cache and i did the same on my end and it was sorted. You could try that. On Tue, Feb 18, 2014 at 11:49 AM, Steve Kyengo <k.stevo08@gmail.com> wrote:

If you are on outlook end user, ensure that your SMTP requires authentication or not depending on whether u are using mdaemon or exchange. Another major reason why this would happen is if your hard disk is full. Check your space.. Try refresh your dns if there any changes that have happened lately and check that your settings as regards IP addresses match the current scenario as you know it. Mail diagnostics: telnet mail-server-name-or ip portnumber <ENTER> Do you get a prompt from the mail server?? If you get, go ahead and authenticate: user your-user-name-here <ENTER> pass your-password-here <ENTER> What does it say at that point? Oh, I am not a Cyberoam expert, but don't they give support, since you pay for it anyway? Or did yours lapse? Cyberoam interface is quite easy to understand, if you have some clue about network security - filters... If you need dire help, ping me on the phone. Have TeamViewer running and I can help you.
