@Calvin, Actually setting up a timed exam is quite simple. All you have to do is create the course, once you have that, on the Add Activity Drop down, select Quiz. From here you can provide the Quiz Name, Quiz Description, Open and End of the Quiz and the Time Limit in Minutes. Once you have done this, return to the Course Details, go to the Administration menu, select questions. Add as many questions as you deem fit, you can also categorize them.
