If you are not paranoid about security, run GRE tunnel instead. Better still try citrix. On the other end a Cisco 1900 series router on a Safaricom 512Kbps dedicated link. My question is, has anyone on the forum implemented an IPSec tunnel over VSAT before? I am very much aware of the expected latency as far as shooting a signal "halfway into space and back" is concerned but any tips or pointers to optimize responsiveness (which is slugish at the moment) of the said tunnel that is exclusively running Remote Desktop Protocol will be highly appreciated.
