Hello skunkers. Id like to jua if any of you guys has / sells / has been able to get an ipad3 running on Orange's CDMA. -- *“The twentieth century has been characterized by three developments of great political importance: the growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power, and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy”*

The current iPad will not work with Orange's CDMA network. Even though it is technically a CDMA iPad, it is sold tied to either Sprint or Verizon's network and it can only register with those network. Unlike the GSM version, the CDMA iPad is not a 'world' iPad and does not work with any network apart from the network it is 'hard-wired', for lack of a better term, to.

Jailbreak it http://gizmodo.com/5530906/jailbreaking-your-ipad-how-you-can-and-why-you-sh... On 3 July 2012 08:44, Philip Musyoki <pmusyoki@gmail.com> wrote:

@Kivuva, You may have noticed that the article is quite dated. Plus Jailbreaking will not allow the iPad to work on Orange's CDMA network.

How convenient of Apple, nowonder I feel it okay to wait on the Galaxy Note 10.1 later in the year. On Tue, Jul 3, 2012 at 9:42 AM, Philip Musyoki <pmusyoki@gmail.com> wrote:

@Martin, I just don't get why you think it is convenient for Apple. It has more to do with how CDMA functions that with Apple. Have you been able to jailbreak any of other products on CDMA network and made them work on Orange's CDMA network?

@philip why not make CDMA operate using Ruim Cards? that would make it available across board... would make it easier to adapt it to .Ke environment. On Thu, Jul 5, 2012 at 9:42 AM, Philip Musyoki <pmusyoki@gmail.com> wrote:

I think CDMA is a standard that is slowly being phased out and many companies may not see the need to invest so much resources in it. Maybe that why Apple does not bother. As we transition on LTE-4G, there will be only one mobile standard.
