What were your results of kenyan usage of twitter by content? When I looked at #kenyadecides yesterday, it seemed a few streams of poll and self marketing. Others who sat in front of tv and were tweeting the same information that most of were getting on national tv. Then ofcourse the confusion last night which got clarified. Me thots. -- Rgds, "Skunkworks-KE is a social platform for technologists. It's where we hang out, talk, discuss, help out some poor soul with technology issues and share a drink once in a while. I think you seem to miss the point about the stats. Where the tweeps from various parts of the country or majority Nairobi? Were they from the same group of people who are bloggers or ordinary kenyan citizens sharing tweeps? Let me clear the air. I'm talking about technology and its use. If we were talking 99% of the mobile users on tweeter, what an experience it would be. For network operators, cellphone companies and the rest this data is a mine and publicly available would be nicer. If Trendy picked up the stats, what an excellent app. I've no beef with anyone on twitter and the rest. So what's your take on the stats? -- Rgds, "Skunkworks-KE is a social platform for technologists. unfortunately everything went wrong during that day. there were several blackouts the whole night and to add pain to the misery my data connection box connection from KDN was at its worst even after several phone calls to customer care. finally gave up and followed the whole thing on my phone. couldnt watch tv coz there were no lights. the fact that the public copy of trendy doesnt cache tweets makes it difficult for someone else to analyse the data. ive learned alot from this election and next time ill be more prepared. Im also set to release the Trendy Desktop 2.0 (more advanced features) and Trendy Mobile for Java enabled phones. (very soon)

@Jacob, you just missed the biggest chance of presenting your data to eg data providers who may have found it very useful to plan. I think you application would have been an independent analysis of twitter trends, zones or locations etc during major events. Anyway, wish you good luck and hope you can make it a successful one. :-) -- Rgds, "Skunkworks-KE is a social platform for technologists. Am sure everyone in technology is learning from their mistakes and seeking to improve. Only better things can come for the future. Hope you realize the importance of your app. Obviously some will say you can down etc etc but only you can customize yours to suit various events. :-) -- Rgds, "Skunkworks-KE is a social platform for technologists.
