Safaricom BlackBerry Service VS Orange Blackberry Service

Hi guys i have been using Safaricom BB service for my users but now i have users in regions where Orange has more coverage. I am planning moving some of my users to Orange BB service but I would like to know the experience others have with Orange BB service. Most of my users are in very remote areas. You assistance will be highly appreciated. -- Jack

What do you mean by the term 'remote' areas? And what services are these that you provide or carry out with your users on Safaricom BB that Orange BB will not provide. I think by being that clear, it might be easier to satisfy your urge. On 31/05/2011, Jac <jack.gathoni@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi jack, For ordinary push service on a bb (bis/bes) safcom has 2g coverage nation wide therefore it will work for you. For users who are using 3g enabled devices.. Lock them on 2g so they don't experience any difficulty. I guess the best thing would be to visit the orange customer care; they provide quite good info if you talk to them.. However, im a bit doubtful about the orange gprs service (GSM) its a bit slow from my experience; As for coverage, I dont know how far they have gone far with this.. their 3G is still in the works, so you may have to give it a year to get a good coverage nationwide.. I can vouch for their EVDO (aka 3G+ ) unfortunately (1) it works on CDMA devices (2) I dont think its covered in those remote areas..
