Car Track Secret Installations

Hi guys, I came accross http://qanda360.com/dkq_2324_car-track-device-secrecy.dhtmland it got me wondering, should something that you are paying for be a secret even for you? I think its fair for the owner of the vehicle to know the location of the device ama? David. -- Got any life problems? visit www.dearkenya.com

Ideally, the secrecy was to protect you. If the thieves knew that you know its location, they wud make you tell them where it is. But since it is public knowledge that none of the owners know, then they waste no time asking you and take their chances of not. Hence furthering the chances of recovering the car. This is where car trak saw the loophole and didnt have to install it for every client. On 4/28/09, David Mugo <raidarmax@gmail.com> wrote:

I've just seen another post saying it's meant to protect you as the owner, and that's correct. Like I mentioned before, I've used Car Track before and they'd always oblige when asked for a test....that's enough in terms of verifying the device does exist in your car.
