TV Decoder to Computer

Greetings all. Is there a TV decoder in the local market that works with the DVB-T2 format and can send the signal to a PC, preferably via USB? I would like to watch TV on my PC. Regards, Michael

DVB-T2 USB dongles are available. Question is: Where do you slot in the CA card since our FTAs are almost zero? ./bernard On Tue, Nov 20, 2012 at 2:38 PM, Michael Wakahe < michael.wakahe@mail.mcgill.ca> wrote:

"our FTAs are almost zero" - You did read and digest that? There are almost ZERO FTA channels in KE! Basically just KBC. You still want to spend your money on the dongle????? On Tue, Nov 20, 2012 at 2:54 PM, Michael Wakahe < michael.wakahe@mail.mcgill.ca> wrote:

There are many FTAs, just that you guys have StarTimes that has made FTAs zero. Get a Samsung SmartTV and you will be surprised how many Free To Air stations are out there on digital.

Ha ha, not poor me. Saw it at a friend's house in Eastlands. The SmartTV is able to receive Signet channels, and guess what, they are sharper and clearer than what our friends from the East offer on StarTimes. StarTimes is like a pre-Michuki era bus, packed to the brim with channels, and this means they have to lower the quality to the point you can't even see faces. This also sees freezing in the channels.

The only FTAs that are worth watching are on DVB-S/S2 platform. Get a Skybox @ KSh.9500/- http://goo.gl/BuLtO ./bernard On Tue, Nov 20, 2012 at 4:21 PM, Dennis Kioko <dmbuvi@gmail.com> wrote:

@Karunyu, That's a nice DIY - cheap in fact, but I need also a DIY for an LNB. Reminds me about the plans to have the UoN produce STBs, which never started. Come to think of it, I'd like to see if the UoN can produce bicycles, kids toys, electronics (did someone already see a very nifty radio/media player [USB/SD] from China) at least so we can compete with China on a smaller scale. This Vision 2030 requires that at least we can produce our own bicycles, yawa! Off to get materials for the DIY:) On Tue, Nov 20, 2012 at 4:59 PM, Peter Karunyu <pkarunyu@gmail.com> wrote:
