Dear Nokia: You Now you have my attention:

Like many of you i had trashed Nokia to the history bins of Kenya Posts and Telecommunications... Until they decided to change tact and instead of making phones, make cameras with phones as extra add-ons. Never mind this device <http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_808_pureview-pictures-4577.php> sits squarely on Symbian... and not Windows. Specs in brief... 41Mp is bull but 1/1.5f is definately not.... -- *“The twentieth century has been characterized by three developments of great political importance: the growth of democracy, the growth of corporate power, and the growth of corporate propaganda as a means of protecting corporate power against democracy”*

This is why I will always be a Nokia fun.... and I will only buy Nokia....... best hardware On Mon, Feb 27, 2012 at 8:51 PM, Collins Areba <arebacollins@gmail.com>wrote:

" While the camera does pack 41 million pixel capturing elements, Nokia doesn’t recommend you use all of those at once. Instead, it says that 5 megapixels is more than enough. The phone uses the extra pixels in the sensor to ‘distill’ images down, using the information from 7 elements to deliver one pixel. This, Nokia says, allows it to deliver ‘lossless zoom’ of up to 3x for stills and better quality pictures at substantially lower resolution than the maximum available. " http://europe.nokia.com/PRODUCT_METADATA_0/Products/Phones/8000-series/808/N... I admire the innovation but the sheer lengths Nokia has to go to grab attention is plain ridiculous. ./bernard On Mon, Feb 27, 2012 at 8:51 PM, Collins Areba <arebacollins@gmail.com>wrote:

I think nokia have succeeded in ending the megapixels facade. I doubt new smartphone cameras will be about megapixels but rather, more realistic and practical aspects like sensors and focal length. Which means it gets better and better.

On RIM remarks, maybe you can remind us what they said about the iPhone.

Now back to loving nokia..still sad about it not having android but devs have taken a liking to winmo 7 and I can see having many great options than what is forced down by MS ....i see Nokia coming back.. On Feb 28, 2012 8:29 AM, "Dennis Kioko" <dmbuvi@gmail.com> wrote:

could this be a sign that the marriage between nokia and m$ft may not be as rosy? or do all the engineers acknowledge that windows is unable / incapable of handling those kind of processing needs... On Tue, Feb 28, 2012 at 9:19 AM, geoffrey gitagia <ggitagia@gmail.com>wrote:
