increased spam levels
Hi all, One of my mail accounts that I normally use on webmail (Horde) has shown a marked increase in spam levels in the past week, about 300 messages daily on virility and viagra. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I wonder if these guys have just discovered my age, or they never heard about the sex boycot...
You are not the only one Evans, I have also noticed this, this morning i got some in my INBOX. You are not the only one Evans, I have also noticed this, this morning i got some in my INBOX.
From last week I noticed increased levels on my gmail account but just a few got into my inbox (say about 5). All the rest were correctly classified as spam by gmail filters.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fight this?
If you have your own server, use the tactics for that SMTP engine to fight spam! I'm also a victim!!! If its most pple on this forum, then there's a likelihood that we have a spammer who is harvesting our email addresses amongst us!!!
I have also noticed something weird; i use digsby to chat with my buddies on my yahoo accounts, but not gmail. lately, ave been getting weird emails, supposedly from my buddies, all of them from my yahoo accounts.
