Maybe http://www.wi-free.com/ is related to this thing, but the gory details lie hidden somewhere. For instance they say you need an Orange modem. Why not safaricom/airtel/yu? That's hidden. Hidden also is the fact that they rely on unused ports on the providers' networks. Go ye read and get enlightened. I'm not a wi-free evangelist; I just happen to have had a brush with it in my past life. All I can say is that the content of http://www.wi-free.com/ has since been overhauled from the juicy KISS marketing that was once detailed there. @Morris, If http://www.wi-free.com/how_it_works.html is not simple enough, then your best bet is to get in touch with those still peddling that service on this list (I'm not one of them). @Wash, the other reason Orange is the preferred carrier to ride on is simply because they allow you to latch onto their data network sans examining the contents of your pocket.... (think redirection to their recharge portal when your airtime runs out)
