Im trying to connect the above phone as an Internet modem on a friends laptop and can't seem to get anywhere. I have dedicated internet so I haven't tried this. Any ideas welcome. Peter
@Peter You will need the Samsung PC studio software version 3 (or above). Install on your PC then using the "Networking wizard" in the software, set up the internet on the laptop. Assuming you are on Safcom - The settings will be the same as those on the Saf Modems apn: safaricom username - saf password - data Number to dial: same as the one on Saf Modems (sorry I forgot this one think should be *19# confirm elsewhere) After setting you can connect either through the data cable or via Bluetooth if your laptop supports this. Lets start somewhere did you change the usb settings on the phone? Does the laptop auto detect the hardware? am using the same phone as a modem on a mac. What os are you using?
