I have spoken to a sales guy there who's told me they will have the 500GB disks by Friday this week, going for KES 9,500 You can call the guy - Kennedy - on 073-572-9730. FYI, I have always used flash disks and Mem cards (SD/MicroSD/Flash) from them and I am 100% sure that if such fail, they replace it. I am not vouching for them for nothing. Seagate drives have rarely failed me. However, you'd perhaps like to ask the original poster why he is specific about Transcend. A life time warranty? Really? I bought a 500GB Transcend last year, from Ebrahims. The warranty card (from Transcend) said 3 years, but Ebrahims only offered 1 year. And like Karunyu's, it failed instantly (sometimes being "seen", sometimes not). And Ebrahims gave me so much grief when trying to claim the warranty, so I gave up.

Goldcrest sells nothing else other than Transcend products - Flash cards, USB sticks, RAM, Storage, Photo frames, SD cards, MicroSD, name it. If they fail to replace anything I buy from them (and mark you, all genuine Transcend products have a serial number traceable back to Transcend themselves) I'd burn their shop:) I've never had to in all my dealings with them. Anyway, I posted the number of a gentlemen called Kennedy. Call him and ask him all the questions you have regarding Transcend.
