Job Requirements - Years of experience: 5-10 years Title of the position: Telecom Core Network Consultant Industry Sector: Telecom / Mobile money Languages: Swahili & English Duration: 7 to 12 months Candidate should have hands on and good knowledge of Cisco Networks component / Architect / protocols / topology. • Have Good knowledge in below areas • Strong knowledge in TCP/IP, QoS, UDP, Routing & Switching, L4-L7 proxy • Live debugging / troubleshooting on the customers environment, collecting additional information about the problem and resolving network performance issues • Ability to analyze network traffic vie Cisco Prime or any other tool • Routing Protocols RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP • Routers / Switches / Firewalls / DNS / Transport Devices • Network Zoning • Network component versioning & Tracking • Network component patching & tracking • Excellent presentation and communications skills • MPLS Basic understanding of LDP, TDP, MPLS L2 VPNs. • In-depth knowledge of services like DHCP, QoS, NTP, HSRP, GLBP, VRRP, ARP, NAT, ACL, PBR, GRE tunneling, IP SLA/object tracking • LAN security- DHCP snooping, dynamic ARP inspection • IP source guard, private VLAN, port security. • Advanced LAN switching concepts- CEF, QoS on catalyst switches, L2PT, Dot1Q tunnelling • Packet Core, MPBN • Mobile Packet Backbone Network • Packet Core (3GPP) Network and LTE networks. • 3GAP Gateway or LTE gateway • Intelligent networks / MSC / CCN / SDP / GGSN / SGSN This is an urgent requirement so if you feel you are a good fit for the above requirements and would like further information please contact me on the details below.
