nice post on SOAP, and why people drop it http://thecoffman.com/2011/01/please-drop-the-soap/ -- with Regards: The Chinese are known to be entrepreneurs, and coupled with some imagination, are now playing the role of nature in food and beverage production. http://gramware.blogspot.com/2011/01/chinese-way-to-become-imaginative.html

The biggest misconception where web services are concerned is that the APIs are a framework to master SOA for web applications, they are not!, they're a just a low level toolkit, a tip of the iceberg and much more effort has to be put in, in order to produce web services satisfactorily. I agree with the proponents of RESTFul web services, SOAP is going nowhere. The future is simple XML, JSON webservices and HTTP methods that are the basis of the very internet we expect to interconnect the various enterprise solutions. A very insightful post. I was planning to integrate a few systems with SOAP where I am just a beginner! so I'll think twice about it. I am also exploring the usage of API's if any are provided by the systems in question. On Fri, Jan 28, 2011 at 4:16 PM, Duggan Kim <mdkimani@gmail.com> wrote:
