Cool the heat in Skunkworks. Go Drupal, Wordpress or Vbulletin

Skunkers Why dont we have a blog? Why dont we have a forum like http://www.ipmart-forum.com/ Those boards bring good money. Lets not stick to the age old Listserve because its limited and boring and many wont contribute. You will find that in this list, only around 10% of the members contribute because otehrs feel safe when the keep mum My 2 cents Theus

Those boards bring good money.
Please enlighten me on this part --- how exactly does one make money from the blogs ? Is it like google - advertising - or is it something else I am missing...

Steve Go to big-boards.com and see what kind of membership and traffic the forums command. Just our neigbours here in Tanzania are having www.jamiiforums.comand you will never find less than 1,500 people logged in. Ask them for a rate card you see what you are sent. If you go to Dar es salaam you get they have even billboards near the CBd and close to teh airport. South Africa also the same. And vbulletin is such a powerful tool in these forums because its fully supported by a dedicated community at vbulletin.org Traffic is money whether adsense or adbrite or simple advertising And if its hard then we can have our own Mashable which will cater for the regions online community Theus On Fri, Aug 21, 2009 at 5:13 PM, ndungu stephen <ndungustephen@gmail.com>wrote:

Very polite - the TZ one ... Reading the swahili has become difficult for some of us as time goes by -- but they seem very fluent in their expression... The blog really works for them !

Ndugu If you go to Big Boards you will find things which work even for russians. We can speak sheng in it also. As long as we identify with it. Thats teh most important thing On Fri, Aug 21, 2009 at 5:48 PM, ndungu stephen <ndungustephen@gmail.com>wrote:
