Know your rights : Creation of the first? sensible online portal for kenyans...

Am surprised that we don't (?) have such a site, i.e.where the constitution is on such rights. It may be fine that the gazette is online, but we need a more specific and filtered approach. The problem maybe that such an online system does not exist due to the possibly the business nature of our activists looking for ways to secure employment with donor funds...... - For example did you know that the current security checks at shopping malls or public areas, though intended for the right reasons, is not being carried out in the correct manner. Those of us who have travelled know this. The security person who has to wave the detection device must first ask your permission to do so. In no manner whatsoever can the security person ( a civilian, not an agent of the law ) make any physcial contact with any member of the public without consent from the person, and if they do without it, this constitutes a crime. What I see happening is shocking, and an abuse of rights. Kenyan security firms ( civilains ) are in severe breach of public rights, in my view. Even the police at JKIA will not perform a body contact search but will request you to return to the metal detector device. They can only peform a body search with your consent. What does the constituion say about this? Me thots. -- The EL_Diablo is a metaphor...

Neither is the right to demand for your National ID/Passport and retain it while in the buidling. waiting for the first person to set a precedent by suing

In the same breath as Dennis' point, think about this. Every building/company worth its salt is hosted in some building where there is a guard who has a book where you enter your phone number and/or ID number before proceeding. So I always ask, what happens to all those black books with such a wealth of personal information? Does this ring Bank scams, Social Engineering? Identity Theft? -tyrus On Mon, Nov 14, 2011 at 9:35 AM, Dennis Kioko <dmbuvi@gmail.com> wrote:

As a matter of fact, I give erronoeus details and signatures , I know some of the books are photocopied and sold. This is a tip, want new customers, buy the books where your competitors are hosted, and target those visiting thme with marketing materials and discounts.
