KPLC data over Power Lines : Updates?

Blackout troubles aside, anyone with updates on this project? I think somewhere in the past there was mention of this as direction they were headed.

Did they (kplc) not license....Mitsuminet who then.....sold to Wananchin Group (this info is totally unverified).... On Fri, Oct 9, 2009 at 4:39 PM, Areba Collins <arebacollins@gmail.com>wrote:

KPLC do this though for their own benefit. They are able to make telephone calls over the very same high tension cables that carry the electricity from the power plant to the national grid. Thats how the guys in the remote power stations (Turkwell etc) are able to make landline calls. They have been doing this for quite a while. I guess its perhaps licensing that's making them have issues rolling the same technology to the public? -- Arthur On Fri, Oct 9, 2009 at 16:47, bernard kioko <bernsoft@gmail.com> wrote:

the project wasn't data over power line ...... they were rolling out a national fibre network primarily for their communication and the extra bandwidth would be for commerial resell //// ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Arthur Buliva <abuliva@mobileplanet.co.ke> Date: Fri, Oct 9, 2009 at 4:53 PM Subject: Re: [Skunkworks] KPLC data over Power Lines : Updates?
