.... boosting a 3G signal
hi skunkies, .... thanks to all the flats cropping around my home, my 3G orange reception & quality has dropped drastically ovet the past few months... any of you know where i can get some elaborate 3g gear.... perhaps a modem that comes with an external antenae.... just anything to boost that 3g signal? cheers
i dont know if this is what you are looking for, but will give you a rough idea of whats out there. This will work best with a clear line of sight to your nearest base station . @chege .... i use a gsm modem, not the cdma ones. i used to have a superb orange 3g signal here in langata, but as the neighbouring flats came up, so did my modem's frequency of switching to edge from 3g (coz of poor signal quality)... and now it wont link with 3g completely :-( (unless i go to a particular corner of a particular room upstairs, but even then, i get half of the 2.0mbps speeds i'd get using a download manager like IDM ) .... anyhow, settings sio issue cheers, and goodnyt for those in dark timezones right now :-) On 4/29/11, Chege <compulinekenya@gmail.com> wrote:
